Looks like 22 rim fire, but I don't know anything else about it

Looks like a Remington Model 514. An economy rifle in their lineup but a well made rifle.

Thanks! I'm assuming the serial would be on the missing barrel?

I don't remember if the gun was numbered. Prior to 1968 serial numbers were not mandatory. Remington has stamped SN's on barrels before being mandated, I just don't recall if the M514 was numbered.

Looks interesting! It definitely resembles a .22 rimfire. Any additional details or markings on it? They could help in identifying it further!
