Ok guys heres what i found is it real or not? It appears to be .43 spanish military. The barrel is 33 3/4 " long, and has a P stamped into the barrel just about 1/4' in front of the receiver on the left side. On top of the tang it says Remington Arms Company Ilion,NY Pat May 3D 1864 May 7th June 11th Nov 12th Dec 24th 187? ( i can't make out this # it runs into the tang screw hole) Dec 31 1872 Sept 9th 1876 Jan 12th March 16th 1874. On the top and bottom tangs on the left side it has #9665. I assume this is a model or pat #? What year would it have been made ? Where can i find a stock, forearm, bands & screws to put this old girl back together again? I know that it will be expensive to shoot , but i do plan to load my own ammo. The top and the bottom tang are the same length they are approx.3 3/8" long. Thanks for your help.
