This appears to be a Remington Rolling Block #2 rifle, likely made in the late 1800s to early 1900s. For a tang sight, the most common fit is Lyman No. 1A or 2A tang peep sight . Exact fit depends on whether your tang is drilled and tapped after the repairs.
