Hello,
I am new here and I came to get info on my newly acquired RRB #2. It is not collectable by any means, as it was weld repaired at the lower tang and on both sides of the receiver behind the hammer, by a gunsmith friend of mine. And rechambered to 38 SPL from 38-40.
So I've included some pictures and was looking for any and all information on this particular model. Also, if an age can be determined and what is the best tang sight for it.
Thank you,
Ceapea

Re: Which tang sight?
This appears to be a Remington Rolling Block #2 rifle, likely made in the late 1800s to early 1900s. For a tang sight, the most common fit is Lyman No. 1A or 2A tang peep sight . Exact fit depends on whether your tang is drilled and tapped after the repairs.
