Roger that, indeed all M141's had a brush guard but they are three separate pieces...........the plug, the guard itself, and the screw to hold the guard to the plug. By simply removing the screw you can remove the brushguard in less than a minute. M141 Carbines are quite rare and were only made for a few years until they ran out of M14 Carbine barrel's, if you have one that does not utilize an M14 barrel it is not from the factory.
