Your rifle is what is referred to a the Model 1897 or New Model Rolling Block. It was made between 1897 and 1902. Remington used receivers that were originally intended for black powder cartridges and rehardened the block, hammer and pins for smokeless powder. As to when in that period it was manufactured I don't believe that can be determined.
