[quote="Spiel"]I have a model 12C, serial number 320375.
I contacted Remington and they say the gun was made in 1914, but in looking at John Gyde's data it would seem that the gun was made in 1915.
Any thoughts on which is correct?
Thanks,

The info in the book came from Remington records. I double checked and 1915 started with #294,527 and ended with #346,127. The serial #s did and do not always follow in exact sequence. I have seen date codes (the true production date) that show guns with higher serial #s were made before some with lower #s. Date codes were not used when your rifle was made so the info from Rem is the best we have.
