870 Wingmaster 50th Year Edition

Post by kdonner »

I have a Wingmaster that has an engraved receiver and was said to be a 50th year special edition. The receiver is engraved on both sides with the left side having "Remington Model 870" in a ribbon. Does anyone know anything about this? I can't seem to find anything about it at all. Thanks.

Looks like a standard Wingmaster Model to me. I thought the 50th Anniversary models said 50th Anniversary on the receiver, but I could very well be wrong. Remington started rollmarking the Wingmaster's receivers some years ago. I prefer the plain blued steel look, but the functionality is great in either guise.
What could have happened... did.
