1975 572 .22

Hello, can anyone tell me if the '75 572 .22 pump takes a clip? if so where can i get one? thanks for any help.

Nope. Any 572 I've ever seen are tube fed, from day one.

hmmm, it has a rectangular spot underneath that looks like it is for a magazine. but maybe not. so its single shot only?

You lost me. If there is a 1.25 x 1.75 inch hole in the bottom of your receiver, your missing the receiver cover. There should be an outer and inner magazine tube running through the forend under the barrel extending to the muzzle. If these are missing, your rifle is sorta useless. Check Google images for a pic.
