Rem 700 Mtn Rifle in 260

I recently bought a 700 Mountain Rifle in 260. The problem is that the magazine won't feed the shells with any reliability. I purchased another clip and also took it to be worked on by a retired gunsmith who did remington repair work when in business. It still does not feed reliably. Has anyone else had a problem with the short action rifles? My mountain rifle in 30-06 works fine and my son's 280 is also just fine. The 260 is a beautiful rifle and a great cartridge, but I did not want to buy a single shot. If anyone else has had a problem I would like to hear about it and, possibly, how they resolved it.

Contact Remington. I'll bet they can tell you how to fix it, or have you ship it back for repair.
