Remington 1100 Stocks and Forend

Can anyone tell me if the forearm of the 1100 12 GA and 16 GA are the same. I know lots of Remington parts are interchangeable between gauges and models. I would like to use a 16 GA forearm on my 1100 and can do some in-letting if necessary. I had heard "somewhere" that the forearm for the 12GA and 16GA were the same. Thanks Much

No, but since you are prepared to do some inletting, you should be okay. Barrel channel is different.

Thanks, I would expect that barrel channel would be a bit smaller for the 16 GA.
