Remington Octagone Barrel Rifle

Post by jking_41 »

Recently recieved a Remington single shot rifle with the only markings as follows:
On top of barrel -- Remington Arms Co......
Bottom of barrel just before the barrel stock the number 32 vertical, then the number 14805 horz.
There are no other marking on the barrel or stock. The stock is very narrow. It does have a hammer to pull back to fire. Above that is another lever to pull back to open the action area to load and unload shell. On the right side is a lever which allows you to remove the barrel from the action area. The barrel is Octagone and is 23 and 3/8 inches to the front of the action area. There is two site on top of the barrel. One at the end and the other is located approx. the middle of the barrel stock. I'm would like to know what model, year and cal. of the rifle.

Sounds like a Model 4 in .32 rimfire. Google Model 4 Remington and you will find plenty of photos.
