I believe Remington didn't make a LEVER takedown rifle. It was probably made up as a experiment or by someone outside of Remington hence no serial number. I hope others comment

Actually someone just gave me a 4 and it's laying on the floor still with a pile of others I need to do something with, it's a lever and there's no serial there on mine there either just a pile of letters. W I V H and a punch mark ;)
