Remington Model 1893 Single Barrel Shot Gun w/ejector

Post by JoeC »

I have a model 1893 with and ejector and been told it is really a model 1902. It does have the ejector. Can you tell me which model it is and the approximate value of the gun?

The Model 1893, also known as the No. 3, took down by means of a Purdey push-botton forearm which was removable, while the Model 1902 or No. 9, took down by means of a removable hinge-pin.

Thank You!, Yes this gun has the removable pin. Therefore it must be the 1903 or No. 9. Do you know the value of the gun?

Value in the marketplace totally depends on condition, gauge, condition, originality, and condition. I have never seen one of these old Remington single barrels in anything above fair condition, hence the $75 to $100 range. These guns were essentially a farm tool and most were used as such. I suspect a mint condition 24-gauge would drag quite a bit from the right Remington collector.
