141 Action Bar Lock
141 Action Bar Lock
Many pump guns incorporate a safety feature that will not allow the action to open after firing unless rearward pressure on the fore-end is relaxed, the fore-end moved slightly forward, and then pulled back to clear the chamber. The action of our 1936 vintage model 141 unlocks after firing and opens without the necessity of relaxing rearward pressure on the fore-end. Is that how these guns were designed to operate, or is there perhaps wear at the meeting points of the action bar and action bar lock? Fred in Colorado
