Dear all,
I recently bought a 'sporterised' Remington Lee (1885?) Carbine (?) with destinct Navy markings on it. Patent markings indicate 'Nov. 4th 1879'. Caliber is .45-70. Serial number is 50095.
As I intend to use the gun with moderate blackpowder loads I would like to clean & inspect it properly before using it. However I can not work out how take the bolt out of the receiver?
It seems to work fully different when comparred to my Lee Metford rifles. How do I disconnect the bolthead in order to take the bolt out of the receiver?
Anyone with instructions or an exploded view?
Looking forward to any reponse on the Board or directly to my email (pistole08@live.nl])
All the way from the Netherlands, Europe,
Best regards.
Edward
