Remington Keene U.S.I.D.?

My father passed away and I became owner of a Remington Keene Bolt Action Rifle. It's in pretty good shape considering the age of it. Half of the blueing is still there with one minor hairline crack that only goes into the wood alittle ways. Original sights with all other parts. A U.S.I.D. number of 417 is stamped into the metal by the bolt. My mother tells me the rifle was given in exchange for lumber about 1920 on a reservation in South Dakota. Any history or valuations would be appreciated!!
