The #4-S Military, and the #4-s Boy Scout, both used a simple flat blade bayonet that looked more like a kitchen knife with a bayonet mount. They also had a pretty plain leather scabbard for the bayonet. If you get a copy of John Gyde's book on Remington .22 Rimfires, you'll find several nice pictures of the #4-S and it's bayonet.

I usually get out the dial calipers and scale things from a known item, such as the gun. I take one part of the gun such as the receiver, forearm, or end of stock to first band, then do my math to figure out scale on what I don't have. So far it's worked really well, and when I finally got to see something I didn't have in the flesh, my measurements were close enough you couldn't tell without measuring.-Vall
