Remington model 870 Wingmaster Mag 26" VT 20Ga Rem Choke

Have been after a Wingmaster 20ga 26" Vent Rib with Rem Choke. This is the best I could find. Serial CC6875?? Order 26949. Box label says made in Illion NY. The barrel is also marked Illion NY. The barrel marking is very small.

There is no lock on the trigger group. Barrel markings are roll marked, not laser. How can I be sure this wasn't built from leftover parts by Rem-Arms (Ugh).

I also noticed the lack of Proof Mark on the barrel. This seems an important final step before a gun is ready for sale. Shopping the gun noted that new Rem-Arms production claims safety moved to Tang. I know they screwed with stock dimensions making use of Remington's Super Cell recoil pad impossible. I haven't considered changing the pad as I doubt that I will be shooting it much and I have only a few remaining pads on hand.
