Remington 600 in 35 Remington

Post by Lucky Sarge »

Any Remington 600 fans out there? I love the handiness and and the way they come up. "carries like a carbine, points like a shotgun, shoots like a rifle" I believe that was the marketing on them. Anyway I have one in 35 Remington. One of my favorite calibers! Hell on deer.I was wondering if anyone knows how man Remington 600s were produced in that caliber? Can't be many I bought the only one I have observed

Just a few more than 3500 M600s were produced in 35Rem. It is the second most rarest calibre, unfortunately dropped from the later M660 lineup and and almost completely from Remington's calibre list but for some custom Model Sevens years later.

Shown below is mine

Thanks for the info and the great pic. It is getting so hard to find 600s especially without the addition of sling swivel studs and recoil pads. 35 Remington is one of my favorite calibers along with 6mm Remington. I have a 600 and a mint 660 in 6mm. They are both hell on whitetails although I shot my buck this morning with a 788 in 30-30. I would like to complete the 6mm line with a Mohawk in 6mm but they are getting pricey. Nothing beats the way a 600 handles. Where I hunt in Indiana is thick and deer move fast. The 600 shoulders fast and points naturally...at least for me. Thanks Again 600 Rem Guy
