I have a customer that has sought my help in identifying and selling some gorgeous shotguns that are in his extensive collection. Lots of Brownings, Franchis, Remingtons, etc. I have been trying to firmly nail down the manufacture and sub-model for this Remington Model-1100. I believe it is an 1100 Field. I've gone through the Blue Book of Gun Values on it, but there are so many variations of the 1100.
The serial number is 306293V so there is no leading letter combination for date code that so many sites reference. The "V" suffix is there indicating it is a full-size 12 gauge using 2.75" shells only. It is in near mint condition, and there are proof marks for proof testing, Magnaflux, heat treat, etc. I am attaching some pictures so you all can see and hopefully assist me in nailing it down. Nearest I can guess is that it was manufactured in 1977, but I'm not sure. I'm thinking the value is somewhere around $600-$800 in the condition it is in, but I don't want to list it too low if the value is significantly higher.
Any assistance would be appreciated! This is my first post - thanks!
