I have obtained a Remington Model 17, what a wonderfully designed shotgun. I have 2 questions:
I have looked for the manufacture codes and I see a CP listed under the FULL near the receiver- but according to the info it would mean November of 1934 is this correct?
I don't know what it is called, but the large screw handle that keeps the barrel in place has a small pin that slides back and forth, except mine is very sloppy and moves very freely, like somthing is missing I was told the large screw handle turns the opposite of what you would think it should - can anyone help me with these questions.
thanks
john

Re: Remington model 17
If you give me the s/n I can tell you what year it was built and how many were built that year.
