Hi Guys,
Newby here with questions about a rifle I recently aquired as payment for a debt. Milatary style rifle 49'' overall length, 27or 28'' barrel, bolt action, clip magazine like a 303 British rifle. Marked: Remington Arms Co. Ilion N.Y. 100937 on top of reciever and patented Aug 26th 1884 Sept 9th 1884 March 17th 1885 Jan 18th 1887 on the left side of reciever. Only other markings are US30 on barrel just in front of handguard. Bore has good rifling but is dark, other than that the piece is in very good condition with most of the blue with some browing. Stock has only a couple of very light dings. OK, what have I got, when was it made and does it have much value? Many thanks for any info.
Regards to all,
Rich

Re: Help IDing a rifle
It looks like a Remington Lee rifle, but I do not know much about them
