model 31?

model 31?

I have a 16 gauge pump shotgun that a gunsmith says is a model 31 remington. There are no name or serial number on this gun. could someone help me

Looks like a variation of the Stevens Model 620 to me. The 620 was a more streamlined version of the original John Browning designed Stevens 520. With the forearm checkered, it looks like the ones made from the 1920s up to WW-II. In the post WW-II catalogues it is shown with a ringed forearm.

thats what it is. thank you. to bad it wasn't a m31 but it still going into my collection. Wonder why there is no name on it?
