I recently inherited a 12 gauge. And i can not find anything out about it. it says remington
reg us pat off then under that it has 426713. then on the top of the barrel it says remington arms co inc ilion ny made in usa.brownings us pats 689.283-710.094-730.870-812.326. on the left side of the barrel it has full then k j. was wanting to see if i could get a age on it.

It sounds like you have a Remington model 11 made in May of 1940.

ok but did it have ingravings on it at that time this on has it on both sides it is of a goose and water.
