Rolling block in caliber .38-50?

Remington announced their new offhand rifle would be ready for shipping in November 1879. It was available in 38-50 and 40-65. This was a rolling block rifle starting around ser # 8200 and can be seen in Roys book. They had announced the 40-65 would be available in June 1879 but no special models were indicated. I once had a mid range rifle in 38-50 which I sold to the late Al Perry. I do not know the ser #. Ed
