Your rifle is of Belgian manufacture. The markings on the left side of the barrel are Belgian proof marks and inspector marks. Some of these will also be on the left side of the receiver. I believe I can make out one of them in the photos. Belgian and Spanish arms makers made LOTS of No 4 knockoffs without licensing from Remington. Some of these were quite good. They were usually in .22RF and .32RF.
