Other barrels will fit, but you may have to fiddle around with the magazine to barrel clamp. And most clays ranges won't let you load more than 2 at a time anyway.

I'm not clear on which specific model you have, but if it has a choke tube, just buy another one that may have a bit more constriction.......like a full or modified for some longer range targets.

I think it would depend on what type of target shooting you're thinking about, too. Hand thrown, informal type stuff or at a trap or skeet range. If it's the closer-range type of targets, your current configuration should be fine.

Call ahead of time if going to a real range and check. A lot of them also have minimum barrel length requirements, and its usually quite a bit more than 18". And most have a maximum shot size limit as well, usually #7-1/2, but I have seen #8 too.
