Frank de Haas, in his "Single Shot Rifles and Actions" list the No 1 action as being 1.312" wide; the No 1 1/2 as 1.140"; the No 2 as 1.00". I suspect the problem you are encountering lies with the individual who made the listed measurement. I believe all three actions were chambered for the .32-20 WCF.
