* ...tang numbers are mismatch, the top is 19509 and the bottom is G 85365 - It was my understanding through Don Muno and my historian friend, Bill Roth, that the numbers were always the same. I'll get Don's telephone number and ask him about mismatches and get back to you with his answer.
Matt: Talked with Don Muno this weekend. He said it was a common practise to miss-matched lot numbers. If a standard contract was being put together for a specific number of rifles, the lot numbers could be the same. When it came to other special pricing contracts, any receiver that was available in inventory was used and could or could not be re stamped.

Also, there is another Michigan contract rifle with a armory rack number belonging to a fella in PA.
