Tang sight screws for a no. 2 rifle

Post by jgilligan »

I have a no. 2 rifle in 32-20. The tang has two threaded holes for a tang sight, and I want to attach a Marbles tang sight which aligns with the holes oerfectly. Does anyone know where I can find the proper screws for mounting the sight? I haven't contacted marbles yet, but I plan to this coming week. This thread size is 10-28, same as the tang bolt. this is not a common thread size, and Brownells doesnt list it either.

Thanks, Jim

Thank you. Yes he did. And he gets them from Montana Arms (I believe) and will soon produce them on his own. However, since I began my search I have come to question whether I want to do this with this rifle. I have always liked the looks of the No. 2 rifle, but now that I have fired one I have found it is too light for a good offhand rifle. I have two others, both 1 1/2s, and they are fine for a good steady hold. Know anyone who desperately needs a No. 2?
