I am looking for info on how to look up the serial number 330057 for a Remington Arms Co 12 gauge shotgun, measures 43" long from tip of barrel to the base of the hilt, which has been replaced with a later 1" cap for a total length of 44". Thank you.

You are not giving us much to go on here. Is the gun a side-by-side double barrel? If so, it was referred to as the Model 1900. There were four versions of the Model 1900. They were all K-Grades but if the gun had automatic ejectors an E was appended to the designation, and if the gun had Damscus barrels instead of the standard Remington Steel barrels a D was appended to the designation, hence -- K-, KE-, KD- or KED-Grade. Again, if your gun is a Model 1900 it was built toward the latter part of 1902 according to the table in Charles Semmer's book on Remington double barrel shotguns.
