I recently acquired a model 1871 Springfield made Remington Rolling Block army rifle in 50/70. The fore end had been shortened. I would like to put it back in its origional configuration with a full for end. Is there a source of forend wood long enough to do the job??I am planing to use a 1868 front band from a trapdoor and a 58 cal nose cap. Any thoughts appreciated.

Click on Home page on the upper left corner of this page. This will take you to the opening page of this Remington Society which is the home page. You will see a column on the left side showing where you can go within the site. Drop down to the line that says SERVICE/PARTS. Click on it and go thru the dealers until you find Womack. Give him a call. Jay Huber RSA
