Yep, model 11. 20 gauges are fun, and not as common as the 12's. Probably made in the late 30's. Production stopped in the early to mid 40's due to WWII, then resumed and stopped for good in '48.
I'd love to have a 20.

Production of the Model 11 in 20-gauge began in 1930, and the serial numbers for 20-gauge Model 11s began at 1000000. Your gun with a serial number of 1009176 was made in June 1930 according to the old factory ledger which is available on the RSA web site --

That Ithaca recoil pad on your gun is probably worth about 1/4 the market price of a Model 11 to the right Ithaca collector that needs that pad!! There isn't much demand for these old Browning-designed "square-back" Remington semi-autos. While 20-gauges are more desireable then the more common 12-gauges, old Model 11s will sit in a dealers inventory a long time at much over $200. I assembled my three gun collection (12-, 16-, and 20-gauge) of the three-shot version of the Model 11, called "The Sportsman" for right at $600.
