Hi, forgot about Remington Society, and wasted a couple hours last night looking around for some info.
I have a very good condition 1900 sitting in my safe at home right now. The gun has no rust, just some shallow pitting in the barrels. But it does have a century of grease and oild and dirt congealed in the action.
I'm no stranger to firearms, and I know this forend is a snap type, but could someone tell me the right way to remove this forearm? Not taking any chances.
Thanks- Kirt

...and off she comes! Thanks!
There was more tension than I thought there should be and when I pulled it off, there was nice hardened solid packed grease in the forearm.
