This may not be the place to discuss replica Remingtons, but I figured I would ask. I just ordered one of these with a 34" barrel in caliber .45/70 from DGW. It looks like a beautiful rifle. I have one of Pedersoli's Sharps replicas and what a beautiful and accurate rifle that is! I guess I'm wondering if any of you have had any experiences with this rifle? I do have some old Remington RB's to compare it to. My understanding is that it is heads and tails above the modern made Remington Rolling block that came out of Remington recently. thanks!

Has anyone used a Pedersoli John Bodine replica rollingblock
Re: Has anyone used a Pedersoli John Bodine replica rollingblock
The Pedersolis I have seen do not have same lines as the originals, and I don't care for that look. They have much more wood on the forestock and look pretty angular, whereas the originals have more flowing lines. I like a tapered octagon barrel too, and the Pedersolis don't have that option as far as I know. But it's really just a matter of taste and opinion. Your mileage may vary.
