Question about a .22 pistol

I belive its a .22 single shot pistol,it looks like a dueling pistol.The only markings on the gun are "Remington Arms Co. Inc. Ilion,NY Made in USA,Patents Pending"Sorry I dont have a pic,I'm on webTV.Thanks.Anyone know the age or value?
