Hi all, new 1903a3 owner here. I'm still very new to these rifles, so I'm learning as I go! In my reading on the 1903a3 I'm seeing that two groove barrels didn't really start showing up until early 1943. This 03a3 I just picked up has a two groove barrel stamped A3, the flaming bomb, and a date of 12-42. Did I get a very early example of the two groove barrel? The bore is immaculate and the muzzle and throat read as if it's barely been shot. See the imgur link below for pictures.

"... I'm seeing that two groove barrels didn't really start showing up until early 1943."
Showing up and being manufactured are two different things. Many things happen during wartime production, I wouldn't worry about minor date "discrepancies".
