Any info on this revolver is greatly appreciated.
SN 5151X. Frame and cylinder engraved. Grips are craved MOP, eagle.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was just scrolling through past posts and saw that this post had not been replied to. Your number, 5151x was made in early Jan. 1864.The serial also tells me that it is a NMA. I couldn't tell if there were small, single letters on any parts. Those would be sub-inspector's marks for gov contracts. I wouldn't expect any, but if they wre present it would indicate gov service, and the engraving and grips were done after the war.
Your pistol was probably done on a special order, or as a display piece. It appears to be silver plated, but it's hard to tell from photos. Check in protected areas like under the grips, for traces of finish. It was probably cased originally.
