I just acquired a Remington 700 BDL 222 Remington in pristine condition. Serial number is 607xx. This came from Wilmington Delaware, former home of Remington when it was owned by DuPont. DuPont employees down here were known for ordering special stuff from Remington and I have seen many examples of it around here. DuPont was the largest employer in the state at the time. They even had their own gun club. This rifle is exceptional and I would like to obtain some provenance for it if possible.

The factory is likely the only source of proof for a custom rifle. Contact Remington and see if they have records on this particular rifle.

Does anyone have a contact at Remington I could try?
