New here and my first post so please forgive me if a commit a faux pas.
I recently acquired a Rem. 1900 with very nice damascus barrels. I striped it down to clean out all the rock-hard 100-year-old grease and during re-assembly some dumb-ass (me) broke the top lever return spring.
I have been searching for a new/used one to no avail. Checked the old posts here but the suppliers mentioned in the posts all list them as being out of stock. I would even settle for one that was close so that I could grind to fit. The TIG welding might work but I don’t know anyone with the skill to anneal/weld/temper something like that.
I figure that if anyone can help me it would be someone here at the Remington Society.
Thank you in advance for any help and advice. It is a beautiful old shotgun and I cannot wait to shoot it.
