Another model 14 serial number

I have a Model 14 in 30 Rem serial # 116785 I searched the net and came up with 1931 as the date but then was told you have to go by the barrel code which is hard to read-could be a T or a L ….Thanks for the help

I have an incomplete Model 14 serial number C26865 in.32 that needs a stock, fore end, and miscellaneous small parts including magazine plug, follower, spring and screws. It is D&T with screws for the Lyman R14 rear sight and has the covered front sight and ramp.

I am looking to resurrect it back to a complete rifle with no real expectations to firing condition. If we ever get it to full use condition then that is icing on the cake.

Keep a sharp eye on eBay. I just bought a parts lot with all the hard to find parts for mine there. It’s pricey but it gets the job done. I’m no expert but, from what I’ve read the date code on the barrels didn’t start until 1921 and before that you go by serial number. Mine only has a 3 on the side of the barrel so I assume it was made in 1917. Best of luck with your search.
