Inherited Sportsman ‘48, 20 ga.
Good morning, all. I recently inherited a beautiful Remington Sportsman ‘48. From the markings, the barrel appears to have been manufactured May, 1949. Although I don’t think the barrel has been swapped (it came from a one gun family) I realize the barrel doesn’t guarantee the rest of the gun. I am very curious, and much appreciative, of any additional information or confirmation y’all might willing to provide.
