U.S Remington Model 03.A3

This is my first post on this forum. I own an inherited Remington Model 1903 03.A3 that my WWII veteran father left for me. I'm also a veteran with a passion for antique weapons. The 03.A3 is in good shape less the missing front sight post, which I am interested in replacing. I haven't fired this grand old rifle yet but after I disassemble it and clean the years off of it, I certainly will test it. It's been decades since it was fired. Its serial number is 4072409. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
