Smoot No. 2

Post by 4065tom »

Been a long while since I posted here, mainly a RB rifle guy, but came across this very nice Smoot and couldn't resist. Nickle is near perfect, grips excellent. Bore is bright and shiny, with a few rust patches. Mechanical function is very good and locks up tight. Ready to shoot 32 rimfire, if I had some. Thanks for looking Tom

I bought modified 32 rim fire cases from Dixie several years ago to use in a Folbert rifle. They use 22 blanks for primers. I assume they're still available.

Dixie no longer has them. Kinda fiddly for me would rather just shoot and forget.

Navy arms had some 32 rf made about 30 years ago, but they are hard to find and pricey. I think the last time I saw a box it was about $75. Are you sure it is a 32? A few were made in 30rf. Buy a 32 cartridge and see if it fits.

Yes, positive it is 32R. If I could find a box for $75 or so I would buy it.
