Help identify rolling block pistol PICS

Actually, I think it was originally a rifle converted to a pistol. Caliber is unknown, it's not marked: No serial number visible. Back strap pat. date is May ? 1864, May 7th, June 11th, Nov. 12th, Dec. 24th 1872, Dec 31st 1872, Sep 9th 1873, Jan 12th, March 18th 1974. I have the crude grips that were put on it. Don't know what else to describe so her are some pics, thanks for any help.

YIKES!!! What a Horse Pistol that would make. Have you shot this? Has the looks of a typical Spanish Model, probably in .43 Spanish. Has a sliding extractor. Can't think of anything else to say. Never seen this done. They turned M67 pistols into cadet rifles, though.

Nope, haven't fired it. I have no idea what caliber it is. I can tell that it is a bottle neck cartride though. Muzzle appears to be around .32 caliber where as the chamer is much bigger. Is there any markings that indicate it being a Spanish model that I should look for?

Probably rebarreled. Lack of tanf markings could just mean that they were ground off.

If you can get somebody to custom make some bullets for your "riftol - RIFle/pisTOL". We can get Rudy to test fire it for you.

I believe there is a way to use lead to make a mold of the chamber. It might assit with bullet ID.
