That is a 1912 serial number accoring to the published serial number list. The gun should be marked Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. as the company name changed to that in 1911. From the beginning of Remington Autoloading Gun production in 1905 to 1911 the company name was Remington Arms Co. I don't have a 1911-12 Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. catalogue but by the 1913-14 one they are calling the gun the Model No. 11.

It is marketed as the Model No. 11 in the 1911-1912 catalog also.
