Bob I think you are correct. That number 2039 seemed familiar. I own Remington creedmore serial number 2039 with a missing barrel. When I bought it I was told it was taken apart to make a silhouette rifle. Luckily it was never done. I tried to find the barrel but was not successful. Now we know where it went. Wonder where the original barrel is from the one in the auction? Ed

It sold for $5000. With all the add ons from auction house it will be close to $6000. The barrel will soon be back on #2039. Ed
