To removed the magazine plug from a Model 11, you remove the magazine cap, forearm, and barrel. Then pull the springsteel stopper from the foreward end of the magazine tube, being careful to catch the magazine spring and plug as you do!!

The forearm and magazine tube are different on the Model 11 and The Sportsman --
