1954 Wingmaster ADL Question

Post by avery53 »

Just a curiosity question.
I picked up this 870 recently, it looks to have been shot very little.
It is all that it is supposed to be, with one exception, it has a left hand safety.
It looks to be original to the gun. It is not one of the later replacement types offered these days.
Did Remington offer a left hand safety as an option on this gun?
Thanks

Yes. They have offered standard guns with a left handed safety, and "mirror image" left handed models over the years.
What could have happened... did.

They also used to sell just the left handed safety butoons if my memory serves, so someone may have swapped it way back.
